Message from the President

President/CEO Tokushi Nakashima

selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur

If only they had a vehicle, they could work as drivers and earn an income. Yet without access to credit, they could not obtain a loan or own a vehicle. Instead, they had to rent one every day at a high cost. Even after working tirelessly from morning until night, much of their income disappeared into rental fees, leaving little behind. In the Philippines, I witnessed firsthand how hard-working people remained trapped in a cycle of poverty simply because they lacked access to finance.

I began asking myself: How can we help people who are willing to work hard overcome financial barriers and move their lives forward? Drawing on my experience as an entrepreneur developing and commercializing electric vehicles, I became convinced that technology could help solve this challenge. That conviction led me to found Global Mobility Service, with the goal of transforming the very structure of finance.

For the past 12 years, we have expanded our business across four countries under our vision of “creating a system in which hardworking people are fairly recognized.” Through our proprietary MCCS® remote vehicle activation control device and MSPF® AI-powered data platform, we have helped lenders manage risk while creating employment and financial opportunities for people previously excluded from financial services.

To date, applications through the GMS® model have exceeded JPY 340 billion, and we have supported more than 50,000 people. Yet many others still remain unable to access finance, even when they have the ability to repay, simply because they cannot pass conventional screening processes.

To address this challenge, we have accumulated approximately 1.6 billion kilometers of driving data together with repayment behavior data. By analyzing this information, we can better understand how individuals use mobility and identify forms of creditworthiness that traditional methods cannot capture.

But what we see is not simply data. Beyond the data is each individual’s determination to work, take on challenges, and build a better future. By providing finance companies with new insights for decision-making, we aim to create a system that enables them to confidently extend financial opportunities to more people.

Today, our business is evolving beyond mobility finance toward creating new forms of credit through mobility behavior data. As a “credit-creation infrastructure company” built around mobility, GMS® will expand beyond auto loans and open the door to a broader range of financial opportunities.

We want to create a world where no one has to give up on their dreams simply because they lack access to credit. That has been our unwavering mission since our founding.

Together with our partners, we will continue to make previously invisible creditworthiness visible and deliver financial opportunities to people around the world.
